Coolfont Resort

Coolfont Resort had newly renovated cabins that are spacious and have two huge jacuzzi bathtubs. The rooms are spacious. The conference room at the resort can handle several hundred attendees. The catered food was adequate, but you're better off eating at the bar or in the dining room. The grounds are lovely . I recommend this place as a quaint CLEAN country place to rest and unwind. Don't go home without trying their HOT PRETZELS. SO MUCH FUN!

Stayed in a two bedroom cabin. The loft bedroom has a king size bed and its own bathroom with a whirlpool tub. The first floor bedroom has two queen size beds and its own bathroom with a whirlpool tub. Cabins are nicely spaced apart, not too close to each other. There was a picnic table with a grill and a fire pit. Cabin was also equipped with a coffee pot, a mini refrigerator, and a microwave. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Will definitely return!

We had a fantastic two-night stay at Coolfont Resort! The 2BR cabin was clean, cozy, and exactly what we needed for our family of six. We brought slippers after reading a review about the floors, but everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The forest setting was beautiful, and being so close to town made it even better. The cabin gave us plenty of space, and the kids could be loud without us worrying about bothering anyone. Jonathan and his team were so kind and welcoming, which really made the experience special. We loved the on-site restaurant and the Berkeley Springs Brewpub nearby. Cell service in the rooms was spotty, but disconnecting for a bit wasn’t a bad thing. For the price, it’s hard to beat what Coolfont offers. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Gorgeous spot that looks to still be growing. Absolutely want to come back to hike, kayak, and swim since we were exploring nearby and weren't able to do much at the resort this trip. Some of the roads need to be replaced, so if you have a sedan or low vehicle be aware of that Hopefully their restaurant will be finished when we're back next, in the meantime they give you a nice print out of local options. The A-frame cabins themselves are really nice. It would be nice for all of them to have fire pits but understand that'd be difficult to do and the website does let you know single cabins do not have them. Inside stocking some more toiletries and an extra blanket would be a good idea. The roll of toilet paper was less than half full and there was not any stocked anywhere inside so we had to go to the front office for it & an extra blanket on the loft or in the dresser would have been a little better for this cold sleeper.

We had dinner at the Coolfont Resort while in town for vacation. We were really pleased. Dennis, our bartender, makes an excellent Bloody Mary with just the right kick. Dinner was quite good. The Double Trouble is a lot of steak! And the smoked trout was a great way to start the meal. The entire staff are super friendly. Apparently they’re getting ready to reopen their spa facilities and I’m betting this will become a great getaway experience.

It was a wonderful weekday stay at Coolfont Resort. As we checked in, we were welcomed by the Front Desk personnel, the restaurant staff are friendly too. There was an arcade downstairs in the main building, where in my kids played claw machine, car race, pinball machine and many more, we had fun too. The restaurant is great, cozy ambience and good food. We stayed at the Woodland house, the room we had is spacious and it includes a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and a balcony. It was clean and relaxing especially the jacuzzi. We love our stay there that my husband wants to go back summer time for a probably longer stay so that we can enjoy some outdoor activities and their indoor pool.

My wife and I took our two dogs with us for a couple of nights mid-week. It's a beautiful area with some great views. The room we stayed in was nice. Nothing fancy, but we enjoyed ourselves. The bed was pretty hard. There was plenty of space for our dogs to run around, and it's far enough from the main road that we didn't feel like there was any danger. Their restaurant had very delicious food, and their beer prices were great and had 24 taps. They have a new outdoor dining area that overlooks the water that we took our dogs out onto. All of the resort staff that we spoke to were very friendly and kind. They loved our dogs, too! We will definitely be going back!

The Jacuzzi tub was simply amazing in our room. The bed was comfy. Cute small room. Fireplace didn't work. Had to move the TV from sitting room to bedroom ourselves. Beautiful place, quiet, and serene. I'd love to go back.
